Pure Biologics in numbers

We have been in business since 2010 and currently employ more than 100 employees. Many of us have international experience, almost half of us have PhDs, and all of us communicate in English. In 2018, the company entered the New Connect Market on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and since 2020, we have been listed on the main stock exchange market.

The development of new and innovative medicines or therapies remains urgent, as many diseases cannot be effectively treated with existing therapies. We want to be at the forefront with new medicines that are more effective and safer. With the complementary expertise of our research groups, we cover all aspects of drug development at the levels of discovery & development and preclinical research. We develop drug candidates that are tested in vitro & in vivo for efficacy, specificity and safety with the aim of entering clinical trials.

Until recently, cancer therapy included four main types of treatment: chemotherapy, targeted therapy, surgery and radiation therapy. Immuno-oncology has emerged as a new approach aiming to stimulate our body’s immune system to kill cancer cells. At Pure Biologics we utilize the immune system’s precision to target cancer cells, saving healthy cells from damage. Contrary to the methods of systemic chemotherapy, immuno-oncology enables development of specific drugs suitable for patients with cancers of various origins and the reduction of side effects. Our immunotherapy programs focus on developing best-in-class drugs in the form of bispecific antibodies or antibodies fused into an immunostimulant protein to fight cancer.

The second segment of our scientific portfolio includes aptamers – single-stranded DNA oligonucleotides that are chemically modified and which fold into a variety of shapes, making them extremely versatile in binding to targets with high selectivity and specificity. Due to their smaller size, greater stability, ease of modification, greater reproducibility, and equal or superior affinity over antibodies, aptamers expand our panel of molecules with therapeutic potential. Therefore, we use aptamers in a wide range of drug development programs related to extracorporeal, local or systemic therapy of patients.
